Creating a healthier environment for pets, owners and staff

How We Share Clean Air reduced airborne particle levels and improved indoor air quality at a busy veterinary practice.

Fab Vets is a thriving veterinary practice with a constant flow of pets, owners and clinical staff moving through the building each day. As with many animal practices, maintaining clean, healthy indoor air is a continuous challenge, especially when allergens, odours, dander and microscopic airborne particles can accumulate quickly.

Understanding the importance of a safe and comfortable environment for both animals and people, Fab Vets partnered with We Share Clean Air to analyse their indoor air quality and install an advanced purification system to improve overall air conditions.

The Problem

High particle levels in a busy clinical environment

In December 2025, Fab Vets installed an ODEO 1 Air Steriliser in their surgical area to address airborne pathogen control. Post-surgical infection prevention is critical in veterinary medicine, and airborne contaminants pose risks to animals, veterinary staff, and clinical outcomes.

To measure the system's effectiveness, air quality samples were collected at three intervals: prior to installation, two weeks post-installation, and approximately six weeks after implementation (January 2026). The data demonstrates a measurable reduction in airborne particulate matter.

Particles measuring 0.3 micrometers (μm) and smaller are of particular concern in healthcare environments. Due to their size, these particles can penetrate deep into respiratory tissue and enter the bloodstream, and they often serve as carriers for bacteria and viruses.

The air quality measurements following installation now align with World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines for healthcare environments, whereas pre-installation readings exceeded these recommended thresholds. This improvement in air quality contributes to a reduced infection risk following surgical procedures and creates a healthier working environment for veterinary professionals and support staff.

The chart shows the air quality findings across 3 dates:

  • 4th December 2025 (Red)

  • 22nd December 2025 (Yellow)

  • 20th January 2026 (Blue)

The Solution

Installing the ODEO 1 Air Purifier

To tackle the elevated readings and create a healthier indoor environment, We Share Clean Air installed the ODEO 1 Air Filtration System, a powerful, multi-stage purifier designed for high-traffic, high-demand settings such as veterinary practices.

The ODEO 1 uses:

  • HEPA 13 filtration to capture 99.95% of microscopic particles

  • Activated carbon to reduce odours and VOCs

  • Nanopure and Duotron antimicrobial layers for added hygiene and ongoing protection

  • Quiet, energy-efficient airflow suitable for clinical environments

What we did for Fab Vets

To help Fab Vets tackle their air quality challenges, We Share Clean Air carried out a comprehensive, step-by-step approach designed to understand the environment, identify the root causes of poor air quality, and implement the most effective clean-air solution.

The Results

Cleaner, safer air for pets, owners & staff

The installation of the ODEO 1 Air Purifier resulted in significant reductions across all measured particulate types. These improvements created a noticeably fresher indoor environment, reducing allergens, improving comfort for visiting animals, and supporting better breathing conditions for owners and staff.

Ultrafine particles (<0.3 μm) Dropped dramatically from 4,276 to 2,535

This equates to a reduction of up to 40% depending on the time of reading.

0.5 μm particles reduced from 2,338 to 1,291

A substantial decrease, reducing airborne irritants that affect both humans and animals.

1.0 μm particles reduced from 605 to 274

Indicative of better overall air purity and reduced allergen presence.

Total Suspended Particulate (TSP) reading 15.9 μg/m³ dropped to 3.6 μg/m³

Improved post-filtration, resulting in better comfort, less odour and a cleaner-feeling space.

Contact

We Share Clean Air is proud to support Fab Vets in delivering safer, cleaner air for everyone who walks through their doors.

This case study demonstrates how targeted air purification can transform busy clinical environments like veterinary practices. With pets constantly shedding dander, owners carrying in outdoor pollutants, and a fast-moving indoor atmosphere, the ODEO 1 air purifier provides reliable, effective air cleaning, benefitting animals, owners and veterinary teams alike.
