The Problem
Elevated airborne particles in a high-occupancy office
In November 2026, Essential Marketer installed two ODEO 1 Air Sterilising units in their main office space. The installation was designed to improve indoor air quality, reduce airborne bacteria and viruses, and support staff health and wellbeing by minimising workplace illness.
Air quality monitoring followed a structured three-phase approach: baseline sampling before installation, interim assessment two weeks post-installation, and final evaluation in late January 2026. The data reveals a substantial decrease in airborne particulate matter throughout the office environment.
Particles measuring 0.3 micrometers (μm) and smaller are of particular importance in indoor air quality management. Due to their microscopic size, these particles can penetrate deep into the respiratory system and potentially enter the bloodstream. They frequently act as vectors for airborne bacteria and viruses.
Pre-installation measurements significantly exceeded World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines for indoor workplace air quality. Following implementation of the air sterilising system, readings have improved considerably and now register below WHO recommended thresholds—representing a meaningful improvement from initial conditions.
Essential Marketer has reported positive outcomes from the enhanced air quality. Staff have experienced reduced illness rates and noted that the office environment feels noticeably fresher, particularly at the start of the workday.
